This proposal for a tiny house provides people with the opportunity to withdraw from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This tiny house allows for one to experience peace and seclusion. The woods and forests are places of awe and wonder of the beauty of nature. This place creates a sense of belonging and rest for an individual or group of people. The goal is to allow for a single tiny house or multiple tiny houses to move around and find places of serenity in forests. With the small compact design and box shape, the house allows for easy transportation and living. The exterior design creates a connection from the ground floor to the top floor by using structural angles and windows to allow the house to feel as one unit. Yet the interior of the house creates a sense of hierarchy through the use of floors and separation. The second floor includes living, sleeping, and a work area while the first floor consists of the dining room and kitchen. The floors separate the community versus private areas of the house. The use of wooden beams as the second floor walls allows for an attachment to the first floor. This Forest Retreat is a place of belonging and tranquility.
